As a Lean Leader Gears-Lufkin, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading Lean Transformation Plan development and site-wide event execution.
  • Facilitating Lean events, with the support of local cross-functional team members, to address bottlenecks and pain points throughout the full value stream - from quotation to shipment.
  • Developing a Kaizen culture through daily Gemba and teaching cross-functional teams how to identify and eliminate waste in the process(es)
  • Developing and deploying focused education sessions at site locations
  • Developing a team of specialists that understand continuous improvement and waste elimination practices found in the Toyota Production System.
  • Providing guidance and direction to improve SQDCCG: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Cash, Growth & Human Development
  • Expected domestic or international travel will be required (approximately 50-75%). This role might work remotely, as well.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in a technical or business field from an accredited college or university.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of leading continuous improvement through the implementation of Toyota Production System, Lean, or similar methodologies.
  • Have experience with the "House of Lean": Strategy Deployment, Transformation Planning, Value Stream Mapping, Flow Cells, Material Presentation, Visual Management, Standard Work, 5S.
  • Have experience leading Transactional and Manufacturing Lean events.
  • Have demonstrated improvement of business key performance indicators.
