Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of the Talent Team to join our growing team. As an established, yet young company in India, we are looking for an individual who can locally pioneer the development of HR practices and policies while seamlessly integrating the culture and expectations of our US-based software/technology company.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of skills, including: the ability to foster team member engagement, build rapport and trust among senior leaders, and ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations. This pivotal role requires someone who can navigate the nuances of building a cohesive and inclusive workplace environment while aligning with the broader objectives of our organization. As a leader, you will:

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff. 
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the team. 
  • Provide constructive and timely performance feedback.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. 

You will also :

  • Play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with business goals, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, develop and implement HR policies and programs, and maintain awareness of policy updates.
  • Lead the annual cycles for Performance Management, Compensation, Engagement Surveys, talent management, career development, and succession planning.
  • Develop clear and concise reports and deliver helpful and engaging presentations on HR-related topics.
  • Manage workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures effectively.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of employee and workplace information.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a local team of human resource business partners (HRBP) and indirectly to the local recruiter.
  • Act as the point of contact for HR policies, periodically review them, and implement modifications as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in human resources.
  • Ten or more (10+) years of HR work experience. 
  • HRBP experience of five or more (5+) years and HR leadership experience of two or more (2+) years. 
  • Experience working with headquarters and executive leadership outside of India.
  • Solid understanding of the Indian employment market and labor laws including but not limited to PF, ESIC, PT, and TDS. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Exceptional communication skills in English. 
  • In-depth experience with HRMS
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills. 
  • Experience in managing employee relations, benefits, and compensation. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications 
  • Ability to build strong, credible relationships and partner with managers globally. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR initiatives supporting business strategy. 
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
  • Positive, can-do attitude, openness, and a solution-oriented approach. 
  • Flexibility to attend meetings in different time zones
  • Unquestioned integrity and ethics. 
  • Ability to work from Noida office during the week. 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Professional HR certification. 
  • Masters in human resources 
  • Experience in the tech industry/SaaS 
  • Experience with Zoho People & Engagedly
