Head of Safety & Compliance

Remote - (US & Canada)


TGC is looking for an experienced Safety & Support leader and thought partner to help lead our  efforts to enhance safety in the design, testing, and operation of our video game, Sky: Children of the Light and future video games. 


This person will lead our Safety & Compliance discipline, will play a key role in directing the efforts of in articulating our vision and strategy for players’ safety & compliance, and then will help implement our strategy by working directly with our development team including Engineering, QA, Production and Legal team to address game safety and compliance issues.   


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with international gaming regulations and standards. Stay up-to-date with evolving gaming laws and regulations in different countries and regions. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance requirements are met during the game development process. 
  • Conduct audits and reviews to ensure our games meet international compliance standards.
  • Oversee the certification process for our games for new regions, working closely with regulatory bodies and third-party agencies. 
  • Train and educate internal teams on compliance requirements and best practices. Analyze data and identify potential compliance risks, providing solutions to mitigate them.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all compliance-related inquiries and issues. Communicate regularly with senior management on compliance updates and potential impacts on the business. Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures for the company. 
  • Lead and manage a team of player safety and compliance professionals, providing guidance and support as needed. 
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences related to gaming compliance. Continuously monitor and improve processes related to compliance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. 


Requirements: 


  • More than 10 years of relevant work experience, love games, have experience in game project development or live operations
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams and resolve conflicts in support of organizational goals
  • Expertise in Jira as a tool for program tracking
  • Familiarity and understanding of the game development process and variety of game content, preferably including live service games and games on the mobile platform. 
  • Proven track record of working with a cross functional team, driving results from influence. 
  • Strategically approaches challenges and applies flexibility to solutions. 
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve and iterate an existing framework, or building anew for best results. 
  • Player safety first mindset & passion for video games

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 USD annually,
with the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary is an estimate,
and the actual salary may vary based on the geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, and the Company's compensation practices.
