GHD has an immediate opportunity available for an Executive Advisor to join our Advisory practice.

The Executive Advisor will contribute to growing GHD's brand in the market and help develop new service offerings aligned to GHD's Future Communities strategy. The Executive Advisor will be responsible for supporting our clients as they seek to address their ESG goals through urban planning and leveraging GHD's unique value propositions. This position will work across GHD, driving positive social outcomes for our clients from business case to planning, and through design. The position can be based in most GHD office locations throughout the US and Canada. GHD supports a hybrid work model.

In this diverse role you will:

  • Facilitate the integration of GHD's Future Communities capability, theory and practice into multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with Project Managers and Technical Leads, particularly those focused on Multi Criteria Analysis and Business Case development.
  • Develop and maintain contemporary technical approaches and solutions to support the pursuit and delivery of projects.
  • Drive and continue to grow the capability of our technical people to deliver with clients.
  • Grow a strong pipeline of projects that adopt GHD's Future Communities value propositions through the understanding of North American clients and their ecosystem.
  • Tailor GHD's value propositions to client context, with testing across a range of markets, project types and scale.
  • Responsible for creating growth opportunities within North America.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within the field of urban economics, finance, or business management.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in economics, management, urban planning and social science.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distil complex information into actionable insights.
  • Leadership experience within a consulting environment and in multi-disciplinary team environments
  • High level client relationship management skills including experience in business development activities leading to positive outcomes and tangible outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience in delivering projects, and an established industry / client network.
  • Ability to develop business opportunities through establishing trusted client relationships and winning repeat work.
