Coder is on a mission to build enterprise software that makes software developers' lives easier and keeps them in flow. We are looking for an Enterprise Account Executive who will identify, qualify, progress, and close revenue opportunities with Fortune 500 customers for Coder's self-hosted Development Environment Platform. We are hiring for the midwest territory, with remote work in the Greater Chicago Area or the Greater Detroit Area. This role will start as an individual contributor and will have the opportunity to evolve into a regional management position as we scale.

What you will be doing

  • Use your skills to increase the number of enterprise customers in the Midwest region, targeting enterprise-sized organizations that have extensive engineering orgs
  • Communicate what Coder does, how we are different, and what our business values are through demos and slides and excellent communication and follow-through
  • Build a pipeline of qualified opportunities based on inbound leads and outbound hunting skills
  • Work with technical peers to deliver an exceptional experience to prospective customers
  • Establish relationships with key technical staff and decision-makers
  • Travel as needed to prospects and customers

What you bring

  • You have 5+ years of experience in software and/or SaaS prospecting and sales
  • You have 3+ years of experience selling to the Fortune 500
  • You are proud of your excellent written and verbal communication skills with a penchant for giving exceptional presentations
  • You have worked at both startup and large enterprise companies
  • You are self-driven and have had consistent success with outbound prospecting, especially for enterprise companies
  • You partner well with Sales Engineers and enjoy team collaboration
  • You have a track record of exceeding performance objectives such as revenue targets, pipeline targets, and outbound activity
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment where people are passionate about their work and embrace each other's quirkiness

We'll be even more excited if

  • You have experience selling to technologists/engineering and leadership
  • You have knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, developer tools, platform engineering, CI/CD, and the SDLC
  • You either have a technical background or are technically curious
  • You are passionate about open-source software

Interview Process

We believe that the interview process should be consistent and enjoyable. Our goal is to complete the entire process in two full weeks if everything aligns. During this time, you will be able to meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and a company leader. If you interview for a position requiring a take-home assessment, we will compensate you for your work and time
