Role

We are looking for Director of FM Operations to innovate, win and grow with us in Geneva or London! 

As the Head of IT Operations, you will build and lead multiple operations teams (approximatively 40 people) in several locations (London, Geneva, Singapore), who are responsible for the operational planning, deployment, security & application infrastructure and business monitoring of a managed-solutions Service Bureau and our new UAIQ SaaS/AWS platform. Including but not limited to Bottomline’s private SaaS, AWS, business continuity, disaster recovery plans/systems, data centres load-balancing.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Develop, Implement, and manage the financial messaging’s IT operations strategy and technology systems in line with the department’s product and software strategies.
  • Close collaboration with the Directors of Products and Software development.
  • Provide leadership and management of technical employees; delegating work assignments and building/improving IT operations teams across all locations.
  • Establish a culture of high performance, strong engagement and commitment to continual improvement and automation.
  • Establish/maintaining state of the art monitoring/alerting of infrastructure and at application level in collaboration with the DevOps & Development teams.
  • Ensure high availability and design organisation with rapid identification and remediation capabilities.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and other product areas to leverage best of breed and global presence.
  • Engage with customers on SLAs, communicating confidence on operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with the CISO team to ensure appropriate cyber security controls are in place that comply with financial legislations policies with local financial regulations FCA (UK) and FINMA (Switzerland); collaborate for annual audits.
  • Manage and improve our SWIFT bureaus through all locations.
  • Develop, improve, and implement operations and security best practices.

 

The experience, skills and attributes that will support your success:

  • Degree in Business IT or Computer Science, a related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Extensive working experience in IT operations roles, including proven track record on delivering successful projects. Ability to transform from legacy to next generation portfolio with demanding customer base.
  • Able to demonstrate experience in a financial environment. Financial messaging and/or banking knowledge being a big plus.
  • Understand and aware of information security and how this applies in operational environments.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT, financial FCA and FINMA regulations.
  • Previous knowledge and understanding with budgets, costs, P&L management.
  • Agile mindset, excellent organisational skills, excellent negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of IT operations.
  • Fluent in English (Additional French and/or German is preferable)
  • Strong leadership and ability to mentor.
  • Sense of responsibility to drive excellence in execution and collaboration.
  • Show high-level of personal integrity and professionalism; flexible and adaptable to changes with a “can-do” mindset.
