Client Relationship Specialist- FSG
Position: Client Relationship Specialist
Division: Global Investment Banking
Location: London
Reports to: Head of European Investment Banking, Investment Banker - Managing Director, Senior Client Relationship Specialist (Europe)
Key Tasks:
Business Development Tasks:
- Acting in a business development capacity to facilitate relationships with private equity clients including attending meetings, following up on communications around acquisition targets, equity research pieces and Baird conferences
- Idea generation - to continuously review and improve how GIB can add value for our sponsor clients through our BD and marketing practices
- Maintenance and development of pipeline documents cross sector and geography
- Proactively develop and prepare in-depth, analytical marketing materials, with minimal supervision, including research reports and tailored pipeline documents for origination purposes when meeting with PE firms
- In conjunction with the M&A Research effort, supporting the creation of PE focused thought leadership content and reports including half yearly activity reports and the marketing of that content
- Support new business generation by reviewing sponsor coverage to identify transaction opportunities e.g. lower tier sponsors who we could be spending more time with and creating thematic pieces to get in front of client clusters
- Active research on client portfolios, movements of assets between portfolios and senior stakeholders within private equity firms (using Pitchbook, MM, unquote etc.)
CRS Tasks
- Maintenance of sponsor related databases, including Salesforce
- Preparation of information packages to be utilised during client meetings
- Support the investment banking teams throughout the marketing and pitch process by providing information to support the initial drafts of pitch and marketing materials, in particular sponsor profiles, for the FSG banker and industry teams to review
- Maintenance and tracking / following up on targets, internally and externally
- Marketing / conference reach out on behalf of the FSG MDs.

Qualifications/Experience
- Educated to degree level
- Some previous experience in a financial services or professional services organisation
- Good knowledge of financial accounting and databases, preferably Salesforce
