Description & Requirements

How you will contribute:

• Providing bookkeeping and accounting services to various businesses. Services may include data entry, bank reconciliations, maintenance of A/R, A/P, & inventory accounts, answering client questions, etc.
• Providing controllership services at client sites to include month-end closings and prepared/compiled financial statements.
• Preparing payroll returns, sales tax returns, and 1099-Misc filings
• Managing multiple clients concurrently
• Assisting clients with accounting, payroll, and basic software issues
• Performing or assisting with other services and special projects as needed
• Developing new client relationships and proactively communicating with existing clients
• Practicing Development through attending client meetings and networking functions
• Obtaining a working knowledge of research techniques and various research sources

• Ability to communicate with clients clearly and professionally, and establish and maintain positive relationships with clients

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting or higher required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least 1 year of full charge bookkeeping, client accounting, or accounting services
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on automated systems
• Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Proficiency in other accounting software (Peachtree/Sage) is preferred
