Greenlight Financial Technology, Inc is looking for a qualified Associate Manager,Risk Management to lead the day-to-day operations for our risk management team in the US. A successful candidate will oversee the coaching and performance management of our risk management specialists, support the development of streamlined SOPs for risk, and support department-wide projects at a tactical level.


This role will report to the Manager of Risk Management.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervising the day-to-day activities of the team to ensure timeliness and operational performance of Bangalore risk management department; including the monitoring of work volume, work assignments, productivity, and schedule adherence to ensure overall effectiveness within risk management and department objectives. 
  • Interviewing, Hiring, and Managing up to 15 Risk Management Specialists
  • Owning the feedback and coaching (i.e., weekly 1:1s) process which will include expectation setting, performance management and professional development conversations, and general department communications such as process and policy updates
  • Owning the annual performance management process (written and verbal)
  • Collaborating with the People team to ensure all of Greenlight’s policies are implemented and upheld; providing recommendations as needed
  • Facilitating daily and weekly team meetings
  • Executing on ad-hoc department projects that drive towards loss reduction while still maintaining a customer centric mindset
  • Building effective and productive partnerships and trust with cross-functional teams by supporting partner team inquiries and proactively communicating trends that impact our CS partners
  • Ensuring that effective corrective actions are taken in response to cross functional team escalations; serving as escalation point for internal customers
  • Supporting Risk Management in the development and maintenance of Risk Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensuring adherence to teammate attendance and employee guidelines; partnering with Workforce Management and leadership to manage all OT and time-off requests 
  • Serving as a resource and escalation point for Specialists, Sr. Specialists, and Risk Management

What you should bring:

  • A demonstrated/strong ability to execute in building a highly functional team; conscious of learning styles, ability to motivate others, and mindful of emotional IQ.
  • A demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and processes to include risk identification, analysis, loss mitigation/control, communications, monitoring, reporting and escalation, is required. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, and verbal & written communication.
  • A track record of promoting collaboration within a team and cross-functional areas of the business. 
  • A strong understanding of key operational metrics and how those data insights support business objectives as well as the team. 
  • Possess an all hands on deck approach to supporting your team, partner teams, and the business alike. 
  • Decisiveness and attention to detail. Proficiency with necessary technology, including MS Excel, ZenDesk,
  • Familiarity and proficiency in tableau reporting, creating dashboards, and building and analyzing large data sets
  • Capable of independently managing team, tasks, and bringing projects to fruition
  • Strong understanding of business acumen and ability to build strategy around initiatives for timely delivery of projects
  • Ability to work during Greenlight’s defined customer service hours of operations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or related function required or equivalent work experience
  • 4-5 years of experience within operational risk management, enterprise risk management, or a related function 
  • 3-4 years of direct supervisory or management experience
  • Tableau and/or Snowflake experience preferred
