We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team. This role will report to our Director of Finance and Accounting. 

WHO YOU ARE

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our company's records. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including banking, GL reconciliations, expense reports, payroll administration, fixed assets management, accounts payable and receivable, vendor management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'll DO

  • Monitor accounts receivable balances, follow up on overdue payments, generate and distribute invoices accurately and on time, address customer inquiries related to invoicing, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of accounts payable invoices, ensure timely processing and payment of vendor invoices, maintain vendor contracts and W9’s, and prepare and file 1099’s.
  • Enter and reconcile banking transactions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, and monitor and reconcile bank statements regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
  • Manage vendor forms and portals for new business relationships, and ensure completeness and accuracy of vendor information.
  • Enter prepaid expenses accurately into the accounting system, and reconcile prepaid accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies, and ensure timely and accurate reimbursement of expenses.
  • Assist in payroll processing, including data entry, payroll adjustments, and reconciliation, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain fixed assets records, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal, and perform periodic reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
  • Assist in compiling detailed budget reports for internal consumption, and handle other ad hoc reporting tasks.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE

  • We value your time and want you to know what to expect from us. For this interview, we expect to ask you to participate in 4 interviews and expect this to be completed in 3.5 hours. 

The full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications.
