As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the [insert LOB or sub LOB], you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
• Leads team of Software Engineer while still being hands-on in coding/programming
• Provide leadership and direction for the Technical delivery of project objectives and changes to meet business requirements
• Oversight and leadership for data movement and transformative development activities
• Designs software and produces scalable and resilient technical designs
• Works with the business to understand requirements and designs new modules/functionality to meet needs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced experience with Java (8 or above), Spring Boot, Spring-core, Hibernate, RESTful, GraphQL, NoSql, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, Mockito, Jacoco
• Solid Multi-threaded Programming knowledge and expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
• Hands-on Experience in Micro Services Design and Development, adhering to Cloud principles such as AWS
• Implementation knowledge of managing asynchronous communication using Kafka or other JMS broker solutions to achieve similar result
• RDBMS experience such as Oracle
• Understanding of Agile Development approach and experience with continuous integration/development using Jenkins/Maven
• Experience with Code Reviews - PMD, JUNIT, Performance, Memory Management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Understanding of financial control and budget management
• Experience working with containers including Kubernetes and Docker
