As a Business Development Representative, youā€™ll be an integral part of our ANZ sales team that works collaboratively with Account Executives as you build your career at Aircall through our Sales Career Track. Itā€™s a fast-paced role and a perfect entryway into sales within the SaaS space. Learn the fundamentals of expanding Aircall's customer base by prospecting, qualifying potential customers, and, with success, moving into an outbound closing role. Your mission @ Aircall:

  • The Business Development Representativeā€™s role is to uncover and create well-qualified new opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and utilising our proven process and our extensive Salesforce database
  • Create & execute outbound campaigns (emails, calls) to book demos/meetings with relevant leads
  • Research and prospect ideal customers and gather key lead information through open ended questions and thoughtful conversations
  • Understand the business, needs, and the buying cycle of the leads, building and nurturing preliminary relationships
  • Work closely with the Account Executives & the rest of the sales team to accelerate the sales cycle
  • Represent Aircall with integrity and professionalism at all times in all written and oral communications while highlighting Aircallā€™s value proposition and key selling points to raise interest
  • Use Salesforce and other best in practice tools for your daily activity and process

A little more about you:

  • 1 year or more experience in outbound sales
  • Experience within tech or a SaaS start/scale up environment is highly regarded
  • A team spirit mindset with the desire to continuously grow and learn, you want to be #1, but you want your teammates to be #2, 3, 4, 5 and 6!Ā 
  • Attention to detail, organisational skills, and fantastic with time management
  • Youā€™re an extremely clear and direct communicator, you arenā€™t afraid to ask questions to get to the bottom of things, and you have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be autonomous, take initiative, and truly own your own success.
  • Our team is hard-working, resourceful, and confidentā€¦ and not afraid of a challenge!
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude! This might be the single most important point

What does your typical day look like?

My favorite part of the week is well, closing, closing, and closing. While the end of the month can sometimes be stressful, it is fulfilling working towards a goal and achieving it over and over again. As I have started working larger deal, it has been a fun new challenge as I have to be on top of my game.

What are some things you learned at the company?

I've learned Product Marketing is like a long-distance relay race, where the baton is the product and the track is the wider market. The first lap is all about the customer and market research. During the second lap, we pass the baton top the Product team and to build and manage that solution. Then during the third, it's all about going to market.
