Unisys, an IT solution provider based in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, announced its $87.3 million acquisition of Herndon-based cloud solutions company CompuGain on Tuesday. An Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced Consulting Partner, CompuGain will expand Unisys’ already robust cloud offerings.

“Acquiring CompuGain will enable Unisys to enhance the delivery of rapid and agile cloud migration, application modernization and data value realization to our clients,” Peter Altabef, chair and CEO of Unisys, said in a statement. “CompuGain has a strong presence in financial services, which will add to our established position in that industry. It will also create cross-selling opportunities with both Unisys clients and CompuGain clients across multiple industries.”

Considering CompuGain generated $58 million in revenue between September of 2020 and 2021 (a 12 percent increase year-over-year), Unisys expects the acquisition to bring similar if not greater growth in 2022.
