Serve as principal advisor to the City Manager, coordinating municipal operations, implementing council policies, managing assigned departments, overseeing budgets and capital projects, conducting organizational assessments, preparing reports and recommendations, representing the City at events, handling citizen concerns, and supporting emergency management and personnel matters.

Support and supervise municipal accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, budget preparation and monitoring, reconciliations, grant and financial reporting, year-end closings, audit assistance, and implementation of internal controls.
