The Sales Consultant Associate builds relationships with brokers and clients to sell Unum products, participating in training and development while supporting customer acquisition.

Manage the Group Life and Disability underwriting audit program (CMU and NCG). Produce monthly audits, analyze results, identify trends, recommend process and operational improvements, generate reports, mentor QA I staff, assist with regulatory inquiries, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Provide business-focused legal advice to Unum's Investments team on complex investment transactions (private placements, CLOs, derivatives, commercial mortgages, public bonds, tax credits), lead structuring and negotiations, draft and manage documentation, advise on regulatory/compliance matters, manage outside counsel, develop workflows and training, and partner with senior stakeholders to support enterprise investment objectives.

Design, build, and maintain observability, monitoring, and alerting for cloud and on-prem systems. Develop reliability dashboards and automation, troubleshoot distributed systems, support CI/CD pipeline reliability, participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering and run teams to improve service reliability and operational processes.

Lead the Long Term Care Group Client Engagement team to develop and execute strategic, scalable engagement initiatives. Drive cross-functional collaboration with Field, brokers, and Home Office to improve client service, implement workflow/process improvements, identify trends, and deliver risk-based outcomes. Recruit, develop and manage team performance, lead change, and oversee service quality and project delivery to support enterprise goals.

Provide first-line customer service for benefits, claims, and policy administration via phone and digital channels. Use multiple systems to gather and relay accurate information, meet contact center metrics, complete required training, document interactions, and adhere to attendance and schedule expectations while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.

As a Benefit Specialist Trainee, you will learn to manage claims, provide customer service, and understand policy guidelines with mentorship for 12 months.
