The VP of Software Engineering will lead the transformation of software engineering at Alpega, focusing on platform evolution, delivery velocity, and building a high-performing engineering culture.

Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple subsidiaries including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets. Support monthly closes, prepare statistical and statutory reports, and participate in process optimization projects. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a hybrid Barcelona-based role.

Support international payroll operations: reconcile payrolls from external providers, collect and review timesheets, calculate salaries/benefits, maintain payroll records, post accruals and ledger entries, update payroll systems for hires/terminations, provide payroll data to treasury, and respond to employee payroll inquiries.

Support the HR-admin/payroll team on contracts, timekeeping, data accuracy and migration. Use HRIS tools (Timmi, BambooHR) to assist onboarding/offboarding and payroll-related administrative projects while collaborating with HR teams across Spain and Europe.

Design, implement, test, operate, and maintain shipper-facing features for Smartbooking. Work in Agile teams to deliver scalable, secure REST APIs and front-end applications, drive quality through unit/functional/performance tests, and collaborate with QA and product stakeholders.
