Zoho Platform (Full-Stack)

We are looking for a Development Engineer to design, build, and integrate custom business applications on the Zoho platform - spanning front-end widget development, back-end serverless logic, cross-system integrations, and AI-enhanced automation. You will drive digital transformation (DX) initiatives across Funai Consulting India working closely with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and overseas Zoho partners.

• Design and develop custom applications on Zoho Creator, Zoho CRM, Zoho Catalyst, and the wider Zoho One suite (People, Recruit, Analytics, Forms, Sigma).
  

• Write robust business logic, workflows, and automation using Deluge scripting - including custom functions, scheduled functions, connections, and multi-step workflows.
  

• Build custom front-end widgets using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React.js / Vue.js / Angular) to extend Zoho UI and deliver rich user experiences beyond native capabilities.
  

• Develop and maintain external integrations connecting Zoho with third-party platforms (ERP, HR, finance, Shopify, Google Cloud, etc.) via REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth, with a solid understanding of API rate limits and throttling strategies.
  

• Write COQL and SQL queries for advanced data retrieval, reporting, and cross-module analytics within Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics.
  

• Configure and optimize Zoho workflows, approval processes, Blueprint, and Cadence (Zoho CRM sequence automation) to streamline business processes.
  

• Build backend services and data pipelines using Python and Zoho Catalyst (serverless functions, cron jobs, data store, file store).
  

• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities (Zoho Zia, Azure OpenAI, or comparable services) for intelligent automation, document processing, conversational interfaces, and gap analysis.
  

• Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to translate business requirements into Zoho system specifications.
  

• Produce clear technical documentation and participate in code reviews, QA, and CI/CD practices.
  

• Provide technical coordination with overseas Zoho partners (primarily India-based Zoho partners supporting Japan operations).
  

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, with significant time on the Zoho platform.
  

• Strong proficiency in Deluge scripting - workflows, custom functions, API connections, scheduled tasks, and automation across Zoho modules.
  

• Solid front-end development skills: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and at least one modern framework - React.js or Angular - for building Zoho custom widgets and standalone portal pages.
  

• Demonstrated experience with REST API design and integration - including OAuth 2.0, webhooks, rate limit handling, and error management.
  

• Proficiency writing COQL (CRM Object Query Language) for advanced Zoho CRM queries and SQL for Zoho Analytics / reporting use cases.
  

• Hands-on experience with Zoho Creator application design and Zoho Catalyst serverless functions.
  

• Working knowledge of Python for backend scripting, data transformation, and API development.
  

• Understanding of relational data modeling, normalization, and ER diagram creation.
  

• Experience across the broader Zoho One suite: Zoho People, Zoho Recruit, Zoho Forms, Zoho Analytics, Zoho Sigma.
  

• Experience building AI agent applications integrated with Zoho Zia or other AI/LLM platforms (Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI).
  

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Vertex AI) or comparable cloud services.
  

• Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) or agentic AI frameworks.
  

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices.
  

• Experience implementing SaaS solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.
  

• Experience with migration projects from other SaaS systems to Zoho.
  

• Zoho certification(s) - priority consideration given to certified candidates.
  

• Japanese communication skills or experience working with Japanese clients in cross-cultural delivery environments.
  

• Ability to translate end-user pain points into practical, scalable Zoho solutions.
  

• Comfortable working at the speed and complexity of a consulting environment - iterative, feedback-driven, and ownership-oriented.
  

• Strong communicator who can bridge technical and business stakeholders across India and Japan.
