ITTConnect is seeking a Senior
IBM z/OS Connect Administrator / Developer to work on site for a client in the Columbus, OH area. This is a contract position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services with over 300,000 team members in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the Utilities sector.
Job location: Columbus, OH (on site work). Relocation OK.
This person will design, implement,
and support enterprise-grade API enablement solutions on IBM Mainframe. The
ideal candidate should have strong expertise in z/OS Connect EE
administration, CICS integration, high availability architecture, security, and
REST API implementation.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure,
upgrade, and administer IBM z/OS Connect EE environments.
- Design and implement
High Availability (HA) deployments across multiple LPARs and multiple z/OS
Connect instances.
- Configure and support
z/OS Connect integration with CICS regions, CICSPlex, and other mainframe
assets.
- Design and implement HA
and failover strategies for z/OS Connect and CICS environments.
- Develop, deploy, and
manage REST APIs exposing CICS and other mainframe transactions.
- Configure and support
RACF-based authentication and authorization.
- Implement JWT, TLS/SSL,
and enterprise security controls for API access.
- Troubleshoot
performance, connectivity, and production issues across z/OS Connect,
CICS, RACF, and networking layers.
- Collaborate with
Mainframe, Security, Infrastructure, and API Management teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
with IBM z/OS Connect EE.
- Strong hands-on
experience with:
- IBM z/OS
- z/OS Connect EE
- IBM CICS Transaction

- JWT and OAuth2
Authentication
- TLS/SSL Security
- DevOps and CI/CD
automation
- CICSPlex SM and Sysplex
environments.
- Experience configuring
multi-instance and multi-LPAR HA architectures.

transactions as REST APIs.
- Strong troubleshooting
and production support skills.
- Experience with Liberty
Server administration.
