Yield Manager – Join Groupon’s AOG (Ads on Groupon) Department

This key role will support our global advertising products, optimizing revenue and shaping the future of our ad technology stack.
About the Role
As a Yield Manager within the AOG department, you will play an integral role in the development and oversight of Groupon’s advertising products on an international scale. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with expertise in yield management who is eager to make a direct impact on a fast-evolving platform. You will drive portfolio optimization, collaborate on strategic projects, and ensure our advertising channels reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do

Optimize Ad Performance: Oversee daily monitoring and optimization of the entire ad portfolio to maximize yield and revenue.

Leverage Tools and Data: Use tools and dashboards to identify optimization opportunities and make data-driven decisions.

Data Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with analysts on data control and portfolio performance reporting, translating insights into actionable strategies.

Operational and Project Support: Facilitate test implementations and zone setups, prioritizing and managing projects in partnership with the analytics team.

Strategic Planning and Revenue Forecasting: Develop forward-thinking strategies and forecasts to anticipate trends and position Groupon for growth.

Drive Monetization and Market Strategy: Implement revenue strategies, uncover monetization opportunities, and stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to adjust tactics accordingly.

Ensure Compliance: Protect revenue by adhering to market regulations (GDPR, CMP) and best practices.
What We’re Looking For

Experience:

3-4 years of experience in yield management, with a strong background in:

Optimizing ad inventory across multiple channels (e.g., programmatic, direct sales).

Working with SSPs (Supply-Side Platforms) and DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms).

Developing pricing strategies to balance market demand with inventory supply.

Managing relationships with ad tech partners and clients to enhance yield performance.

Conducting regular yield analysis to improve monetization and fill rates.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with ad serving platforms like Google Ad Manager or Magnite.

Expertise in yield optimization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and programmatic ad technology, including RTB and header bidding.

Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis tools for reporting and inventory management.
