ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT UNDER-GRADUATES - MUST HAVE COMPLETED AT LEAST YEAR 1 OF THEIR DEGREE COURSE
Working within the Product Engineering department which is heavily involved in product specification, design and validation.
This position is a 48 week year in industry placement for under-graduates who are undertaking a relevant degree course and seeking a year-in-industry placement as part of their degree.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide technical support for commercial vehicle fuel injectors for common rail technology through practical and theoretical support of engineering processes and systems including, hydraulics, manufacturing processes etc.
- Development of test equipment and instrumentation.
- Run and develop performance test procedures.
- Inspection of components from warranty, customer testing or internal testing.
- Interpretation of test data, synthesis of results & reporting
- Problem solving through methodical approach and innovative techniques.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards and process documentation.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement.
- Ensure a safe working environment with full compliance to relevant legislation.
