The Role: 

The XR Nurse Curriculum Lead will play a crucial role in the underlying strategy and the development of immersive training modules for a VR nursing curriculum. This role will assist in identifying, defining, and prioritizing the right use cases, learning objectives, and workflow processes to address within nurse (and other allied health professional) training. In addition, this position involves designing and facilitating VR simulation scenarios allowing users to have the opportunity to practice clinical skills and decision-making in realistic patient situations, including complex medical cases, without the risks associated with real-world scenarios.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the principal content strategist and workflow designer for nurse education, including helping to define and prioritize use cases and key workflow steps.
  • Help build specific curriculums, progressive learning pathways, and critical learning objectives influencing patient care.
  • Serve as an internal nurse subject matter expert.
  • Obtain customer feedback alongside the product team and lead advisory council sessions to inform the product roadmap.
  • Assist the commercial team in aligning value with the customers.
  •  Assist the product team in developing features, especially performance measurement and analytics.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in VR and simulation research and technology related to nursing and other trends. 
  •  Partner with customers and teams to design and implement validation and case studies.
  • Support market activities such as experiential programs, association engagements, or research activities.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:

Must have: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    • 5 years+ of Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
    • 5 years+ experience working in a HealthSystem
    • 3+ years of nurse education experience
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Familiarity with simulation-based education, including traditional methods and VR technology
    • Ability to conduct research and stay updated on advancements in technology and best practices in nursing education
    • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create effective educational experiences
    • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement educational programs
    • Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment

Bonus:

  • Masters Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Healthcare Administration or related field
  • Experience with virtual reality, especially in designing VR simulation scenarios 
  • Certified Nurse Educator

Compensation

Our compensation package includes a salary of $130,000-$169,000, an incentive bonus, and equity options.
