We’re looking for a Xero Specialist with hands-on bookkeeping experience to join our high-performing Medico team in Melbourne.
This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes Xero - not just using it, but helping others get the most out of it. You’ll work closely with medical professionals to implement, optimise and support Xero and related systems, while delivering practical, day-to-day bookkeeping support.
You’ll play a key role in simplifying our clients’ processes, improving the quality of their data, and helping them feel confident using their systems.
This is a part-time role, and we’re flexible in working with you to design a schedule that suits your lifestyle and our team’s needs.
- Set up and implement new Xero files for clients
- Provide end-to-end bookkeeping support using Xero (bank recs, data integrity, troubleshooting)
- Manage client queries across Xero and integrated apps
- Deliver Xero training sessions (1:1 and group) and create user-friendly guides
- Support client onboarding, including system setup and education
- Troubleshoot system and integration issues and liaise with software providers
- Maintain accurate records and manage support requests in a timely manner
- Stay up to date with Xero product changes and best practices
- Proven, hands-on experience using Xero in a bookkeeping or accounting role (essential)
- Strong understanding of day-to-day bookkeeping processes within Xero
- Confidence supporting others with Xero, including training and troubleshooting
- Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems and add-ons
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, client-friendly way
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine interest in technology
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Skills Required
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Demonstrated prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms and add-ons
- Ability to communicate complex information simply
- Strong organisation and time management skills
