[XC2513] Senior Cloud Engineer

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to take a leading role in building, maintaining, and scaling our cloud infrastructure in a performance-critical iGaming environment. As part of a small, highly technical team, you will have broad ownership across infrastructure, operations, and tooling. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the entire lifecycle of cloud services: from architecture and observability to automation and incident response. Observability, resilience, and operational excellence are core priorities, and your work will directly support product delivery and system reliability. What You Will Be Doing:

Infrastructure & Automation

• Collaborate with engineers to design, implement, and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS, using tools like Kubernetes, Crossplane and ArgoCD.
• Champion best practices in GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, promoting secure and consistent environments.
• Work with the team to optimize systems for scalability, cost-efficiency, and operational reliability.
  

Incident Management & Operations

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Alloy, and others.
• Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis, helping continuously improve system stability.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence.

CI/CD & Developer Experience

• Build and refine robust CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, safe deployments for multiple products.
• Ensure smooth developer workflows by providing easy-to-use tooling and environments that reduce friction.
• Support blue/green and canary deployment strategies to improve release confidence.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work alongside developers and stakeholders to align infrastructure evolution with product needs.
• Take ownership of platform reliability and delivery tooling.
• Help improve documentation, automation, and internal processes to enhance team efficiency.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (ideally using Crossplane and ArgoCD).
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD systems.
• Experience supporting production systems in performance-critical, 24/7 environments.
  
• Proficient in Linux systems, networking, and cloud security best practices
• Skilled in scripting or programming (Python, Go, or Bash).
• Familiarity with secrets management, policy enforcement, and service discovery.
• Understanding of compliance and security practices, even without dedicated InfoSec functions.
• Experience in iGaming environments is strongly preferred

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Problem-solver with a pragmatic and structured approach.
• Comfortable working in a small, cross-functional team where adaptability and initiative are key.
• Interest in growing into a leadership role is welcome but not required.
