JOB TITLE Workover Wellsite Engineer
REPORTS TO DVP Wells / Lead Well Engineer

JOB PURPOSE
The Workover Wellsite Engineer supervises onsite workover activities on a hydraulic workover unit, ensuring safe and efficient operations, implementing well programs and supervising onsite personnel.
ROLES:
- Directing and Coordinating Activities: Supervises all workover activities performed via the HWU, ensuring they are executed according to plans and procedures.
- Ensuring Safety and Efficiency: Prioritize safety by implementing and enforcing safety procedures, pre-job safety meetings, and ensuring the HWU operates efficiently.
- Implementing Workover Programs: Responsible for the implementation of approved workover programs, implementing the management of change process, organizing daily operations, issuing work instructions, and managing resources.
- Supervising Personnel: Supervise workover HWU crew activities, service company personnel, and contractors, providing guidance, ensuring crew change compliance and training as needed.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare daily workover reports, daily value of work done reports, cost reports, and other necessary documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Managing Resources: Call off equipment as required, request supplies, manage stock and services as needed.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address any issues or problems that arise during operations in consultation with the Lead Well Engineer. Escalate to the DVP Wells as may be required to ensure minimal downtime and safe operations.
- HSSE Procedures: Implement and ensure proper application of the company's well site HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) procedures.
- Emergency Situations: Adhere to the company’s emergency procedures with regards to the nature of the emergencies.
- Equipment Pre-mobilization checks / QAQC: Responsible for pre-mobilization of equipment and ensuring proper QAQC prior to mobilization (only applicable for Wellsite Engineers not manning field locations). Ensure compliance and compactibity of all hardware components.
JOB CONTEXT & KEY CHALLENGES
- Equipment QAQC on location: HWU requirements & availability, HWU specifications and availability assessment.
- Work closely with Lead Well Engineer to ensure compliance to well programs.
- Drive Contractors, service companies and operations team to enhance safe and efficient workover operations.
- Work instructions (SID): Ensure this is issued and reviewed daily for safe and efficient operations.
- Daily reporting: Well operations, inventories and cost stewardship
- Completion Fluid Recipe compliance: Brines (kill fluid, fluid loss control), Completion / packer Fluid recipes, cement recipes.
- Technical Risks: operational risk assessment and mitigations.
- Service delivery tickets: Ensure job tickets reflects service delivered.
People: Ensure personnel on location all understand their roles and perform accordingly
Processes / Procedures / Standards
- Ensure standards and procedures especially as required in the well programs are complied with.
DIMENSIONS (METRICS)
- Deliver wells as per schedule.
- AFEs are not overrun.
- NPT are minimized and are below 10%.
- Proper QAQC are done prior to equipment mobilization.
- Accountable for Safety standards in wells operations.
- No of direct reports. Wellsite HWU contractor personnel, service providers and other operations personnel at Wellsite.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- A university degree in Engineering, or a related field.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
- 10+ year's as well operational experience with at least 5 years' experience in Wells completions
- Knowledgeable in Wells HSSE processes and track record of delivery.
- Well Control certification is an advantage.
- Good understanding of fishing equipment, tools and fishing operations
- Broad understanding of Wells Completions and related operations.
- Broad knowledge/experience of producing operations activities and surface operations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to pull together information, identify the issues, then formulate and deliver action plans.
- Ability to manage delivery through service contractors and specialists.
- Knowledgeable in oil industry technical processes (including Well delivery processes, hydrocarbon field development planning etc.).
Strong interpersonal skills, and experience in interacting with internal and external stakeholder.
Skills Required
