Your role

As a Working Student - Mechanics at Munich Electrification, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team in the Hardware Development department. We are looking for a highly motivated student to support the development of mechanical parts from concept design to production release, including detailed design of parts and/or components.

Your future tasks at a glance

Design of electromechanical parts and assemblies (CREO) as well as involvement in simulation tasks (ANSYS)
Improvements of mechanical team processes and its direct interfaces (industrialization, electronics, systems). Implementation in JIRA and PDM system - together with team manager and tech lead
Support and execution of engineering tests in coordination with the mechanical team
Carry out measurements and tests for concept validation
Evaluate and document test results
Support the mechanical team with building prototypes and test samples

What you bring with you

Bachelor or Master student in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, applied physics or similar
Interest in designing and simulating mechanical parts for HV-components
Basic understanding of CAD modelling (nice-to-have knowledge of CREO)
Basic understanding of thermal and mechanical simulations (nice-to-have knowledge of ANSYS
Hands on mentality, willingness to build and execute tests and experiments related to the project in our lab
Willing to take responsibility of a project
Creativity and enthusiasm for innovative solutions for electric vehicles or energy storage systems
Ability to work in a team & strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)
