Position Summary:
The Workforce Development Coordinator will play an essential role in scaling up LACI’s workforce development efforts leading up to the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics in anticipation of the increase in demand for a skilled green workforce. This position will play a key role in participant outreach and recruitment, program execution, data collection, and case management, all with the goal of engaging more historically marginalized communities in high-road green career pathways.
About LACI’s Green Jobs Workforce Programs: LACI’s Green Jobs Workforce Programs are a multi-tiered workforce training pipeline program that provides technical training, professional development, and industry-recognized certifications to help historically marginalized groups succeed in the green economy. Select participants in the program are matched with LACI startups and partners for internships and potential job opportunities.
What You’ll Do:
- Outreach & Recruitment: Collaborate with departments across LACI and build external ecosystem partners to expand participant outreach and recruitment (by identifying & attending career fairs and hosting info sessions), as we aim to recruit 150 participants across all of our green workforce programs for 2025.
- Intake and Data Collection: Collect and create applications and assessments in SMApply and ensure participant data and demographics are consistently captured in our Salesforce CRM system (e.g. enrollment applications, education and income verification, resumes, and all survey data).
- Case Management: Input case notes into Salesforce CRM and coordinate with case managers to ensure participants’ short-term and long-term goals are met throughout the program.
- Program Support and Execution: Support the Workforce Development Team in delivering successful green workforce development programs, including but not limited to providing stipend documentation for Green Jobs Workforce Fellowship and Green Jobs Training Courses.
- Customer Service: Address any challenges brought up by workforce development participants in a timely fashion; follow up and follow through on requests is critical. Listen, understand, and take any necessary action for supporting program participants and case manager relationships.
- Event Coordination: Assist Workforce Development Sr Manager with any workforce development events planning, execution, and logistics.

Requirements:
Basically, we want to know you can get the job done. This means you have:
- 1-3 years of case management, customer service, or training experience with underserved populations (preferably with Career Technical Training and Vocational Programs)
- Existing relationships with community-based organizations and workforce development programs
- Proven track record in participant outreach and recruitment
- Experience with data tracking and compliance
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, SMApply and CRM System (e.g. Salesforce)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage many moving projects at once
- Proven ability to communicate clearly in a professional setting
- Interest and ability to work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Asana and Salesforce
- Proficient in Spanish
- Knowledge of cleantech, energy, and/or transportation sector
- Understanding of marketing strategies to local community partners and to participants directly
Work Requirements
- Must work in Downtown LA Office hybrid three days a week or more if there are trainings, events, meetings, etc.
- Some travel required across Los Angeles
Position Details:
This is a full-time position, starting immediately. LACI operates out of the La Kretz Innovation Campus, in the bustling Downtown LA Arts District. Since we are rapidly growing, you will be getting in on the ground floor at LACI, with the opportunity to evolve with us and shape your future here. Some travel may be required.
Salary Range: Coordinator Range $50-58k commensurate with experience, education, skills, etc and total compensation package including health benefits, 401k match, professional development, commuter benefits and more.
