OverviewThe Workforce & Career Development Specialist supports employee growth, career advancement, and long-term workforce development across both field and office teams. This role works directly with employees to identify career goals, create development plans, understand advancement opportunities, and connect with training, certifications, apprenticeships, mentoring, job shadowing, and leadership development programs. This full-time position is based in Derwent, Ohio, includes both office and field work, and requires periodic travel.
Responsibilities

The specialist partners with supervisors, managers, Human Resources, Safety, and Training to strengthen internal career pathways, support succession planning, develop future leaders, and improve employee engagement and retention. Additional responsibilities include tracking employee progress, certifications, promotions, program participation, and development outcomes.


QualificationsThe ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in employee development, training, human resources, or workforce development. Strong coaching, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills are essential. A related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
