Our financial-services work includes secure platforms and technology delivery supporting banking, payments, digital channels, integration, data, and financial operations. ## Job Title Workflow Developer ## Location Cairo, Egypt (hybrid/work-from-office supported; international collaboration as needed) ## Years of Experience 4–9 years ## Job Description As a Workflow Developer at ITGoals, you will design and implement reliable, auditable enterprise workflows that automate user tasks, approvals, rejections, return/send-back actions, service-level rules, and end-to-end process status tracking for digital services. You will translate business processes into executable, maintainable workflow models, integrate with APIs and backend systems, and ensure resilience, observability, and production readiness in regulated environments. ## Key Responsibilities * Design and implement BPMN-based business processes using Camunda, translating approved business flows into executable and maintainable workflow models. * Configure user tasks, approvals, rejection paths, return/send-back actions, escalations, timers, and service-level agreement rules. * Use DMN where appropriate to model business decisions and keep decision logic transparent, testable, and maintainable. * Integrate workflows with REST APIs, backend services, external systems, and user-facing applications. * Implement workflow status tracking, process visibility, exception handling, and operational diagnostics for business and support teams. * Design for retries, timeouts, error events, compensation, and controlled recovery to improve process resilience. * Troubleshoot process incidents, stuck instances, integration errors, SLA breaches, and data/variable issues across workflow execution. * Participate in functional testing, regression testing, UAT support, release preparation, and post-production verification. * Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA, architects, and operations teams to ensure workflow behavior matches business requirements. * Document workflow models, integration points, decision rules, operational dependencies, and support procedures. ## Required Experience * Hands-on experience designing and implementing workflow or BPM solutions in enterprise environments. * Hands-on exposure to BPMN process modelling and integration of workflow engines with applications and APIs. * Experience diagnosing process and integration issues and supporting workflows through testing and production rollout. * Ability to understand business processes and convert them into clear technical workflow logic. ## Required Skills * Camunda and BPMN * DMN / business decision modelling * REST APIs and workflow integration * User tasks, timers, escalations, and SLA handling * Process variables and workflow state management * Exception handling and process troubleshooting * Testing and production-support discipline * Technical documentation and stakeholder communication ## Banking / Fintech & Nice to Have * Banking, fintech, lending, payments, onboarding, KYC, operations, or other regulated workflow experience is a strong advantage. * Camunda 8, external task / job-worker patterns, or event-driven workflow experience. * Java / Spring Boot integration exposure. * Monitoring, observability, and DevOps practices for workflow platforms. ## What Success Looks Like * Designs workflows that are understandable, auditable, resilient, and easy to support. * Can identify failure scenarios before production and build appropriate process handling. * Communicates effectively with both business process owners and technical teams. * Delivers reliable, scalable solutions that meet business needs and compliance requirements. * Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement through thorough testing, documentation, and healthy design decisions. ## ITGOALS Offers * Enterprise-scale assignments where engineering quality, security, resilience, and delivery discipline matter. * Structured ITGoals recruitment, onboarding, delivery governance, and clear professional ownership throughout the engagement. * Collaboration with experienced engineers, architects, QA professionals, delivery leaders, and business stakeholders. * Exposure to complex digital-transformation environments and the opportunity to deepen banking, fintech, payments, and regulated-enterprise experience. * Opportunities to contribute to long-term enterprise delivery programs based on performance, business demand, and role fit. ## Application Instructions Share an updated CV with the ITGoals recruitment team, highlighting the experience most relevant to this role, particularly enterprise delivery, banking / fintech exposure where applicable, and the technologies listed above.
