Workflow Business Analyst

Location : Remote from anywhere in Brazil 

About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Business Analyst to support the development and deployment of workflow automation technologies tailored to the needs of our top-tier investment banking clients. This role will bridge the gap between client-facing teams, product development, and engineering, ensuring that workflow solutions are accurately scoped, thoughtfully designed, and successfully implemented to drive operational efficiency and scalability.

What we do 

We are a global software and professional services company for the financial industry, with offices in the UK, USA, Germany, Brazil, Hong Kong and Indonesia. We specialize in working with investment banks to automate the issuance process for structured products. For layman, a structured product is a financial investment (not unlike a savings account) where the return to the investor depends on the performance of an underlying asset (e.g., a stock or an index). While structured products tend to offer a higher return than a savings account, they also tend to come with a higher risk. Therefore, the issuance (i.e., the creation) of a structured product and its offering to investors is highly regulated. We 
offer banks automation solutions to make that issuance process simpler. The core of our automation solution is a document automation tool that facilitates the creation of fact sheets, term sheets and similar documents which describe the products. We are looking to hire developers and financial experts to work with this core automation solution.

What we’re looking for

• Knowledge of financial topics or an interest in markets and a deep interest in tech and coding.
  
• Strong knowledge of coding best practices (including QA and releases), and an inclination to learn about financial markets, particularly in the structured products industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript required, knowledge of PHP a plus. 
  
• Demonstrated passion for process enhancement with demonstrated experience improving and/or documenting existing ways of working.
  
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, high level of organization, ability to learn quickly, ability to translate complex ideas into clear explanations, high level of diligence, excellent communication, interpersonal & stakeholder-management skills.
  
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Prior experience with or an existing understanding of workflow/process automation tools, BPM platforms, or low-code/no-code solutions a plus.
  
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with multiple concurrent initiatives.
  
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, SQL, or similar platforms a plus.
  

Key Responsibilities 

• Partner with clients (global investment banks) to understand current-state processes, pain points, and strategic goals.
• Document and analyze complex workflows across front, middle, and back-office functions.
  
• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable product specifications and user stories.
  
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to drive the design and build of workflow automation tools.
  
• Support UAT and client testing processes, including test case development, coordination, and issue resolution.
  
• Conduct data analysis to identify process inefficiencies and quantify ROI for proposed workflow changes.
  
• Ensure alignment across internal stakeholders and contribute to roadmap prioritization and sprint planning.
  
• Prepare client-facing documentation including business cases, solution proposals, and onboarding guides.
