Job Title: Workers Compensation Associate Attorney - Las Vegas, Nevada
Type of Position: Full Time
Location: Remote- Las Vegas, NV (Must be able to attend in person hearings, depositions and trial preparation)
Pay: $100-$200k Plus Bonus
Job Description:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Draft pleadings (complaints, motions, oppositions)
- Draft and review discovery, meet and confer letters, and discovery motions
- Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in Court
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare pre-arbitration, arbitration, pre-trial documents and trial materials
- Active participation in trial
- Strategically litigate cases by obtaining key evidence to work up case file
- Draft mediation briefs and attend mediation, active participation in negotiating settlements
- Regular client communication
- Assist in management of litigation assistants and paralegals
- Attend regular training for professional development
Requirements:
- Must be Licensed Attorney in Nevada **
- At least 3+ years of experience in Personal Injury Law
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Highly motivated to learn and grow
- Very well organized
- Resourceful and persistent
- Communicate well in writing with attention to detail
