Purpose of the role
The Workday Functional Specialist will support configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of Workday HCM modules. Acting as a subject matter expert, the role ensures HR processes are streamlined, compliant, and aligned with organisational objectives.Responsibilities
Accountabilities
Configuration & Maintenance
Configure Workday business processes, security roles, and functional areas (HCM, Compensation, Absence, Advanced Compensation, Help, Security, Recruitment, and all the future ones).
Implement new features and enhancements following Workday releases.
Perform data quality checks and cleansing.
Data mass upload to support ongoing processes.
Functional Support
Analyse business requirements and translate them into Workday solutions.
Provide functional requirements and complete configuration workbooks.
Validate data during conversion and post-load activities.
Advisory
Testing & Deployment
Develop and execute test scenarios.
Participate in end-to-end testing and troubleshooting.
Support integrations with third-party systems.
Training & Documentation
Create user guides and training materials and knowledge articles
Deliver training sessions to all the end-users in respective functional areas.
Support Newsletter creation – knowledge sharing
Advisory to P&C teams
Continuous Improvement
Proactively identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation.
Champion adoption of Workday best practices.
The role holder will be expected to manage relationships with a wide spectrum of internal customers, including all levels of managers and leaders within IAG GBS, IAG Transform and IAG, as well as partners from Operating Companies (OpCos).

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications
Certifications in Workday modules: HCM, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Compensation
Other Certification is a nice to have
Basic knowledge of Workday Reporting and Analytics
Skills
Proven experience as a Workday Functional Analyst or Consultant.
Strong knowledge of Workday HCM, Help, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Compensation modules and business process configuration.
Willingness to learn and operate with other modules of Workday like Recruitment, LMS, Talent
Familiarity with integrations and reporting tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and train users.
Understanding of business environment complexity and ability to transfer the knowledge into practice.
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and manage time effectively.
Dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced English.

Experience
Working in a global, multi-function organization, preferably Workday Inc.
