Job Description
What We Are Seeking 
 
The Workday Consultant will play an integral role in the successful management of the Technology Stack. Working within our CIO team, you will be actively supporting the broader HR and Finance Teams and the rest of the business - capturing requirements, offering solutions, configuring, testing, implementing and managing Workday. You will have strong Workday configuration skills with expertise in ERP, HCM, Recruiting, Advanced Reporting and Payroll interfaces.
 
Key Tasks & Accountabilities 
  • Configure and maintain Workday HCM and Financials modules.

  • Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.

  • Optimize integrations with ERP and BI tools for financial data flows.

  • Take a key role in the Workday management and evolution. This includes leading initiatives from start to finish, coordinating the functional requirements and needs of stakeholders. 

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders, PMO, and the implementation partners to guide the initiatives. 

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on configuration, data migration, business process setup, etc., to ensure a smooth and successful rollout. 

  • Manage and administrate the Workday system testing.  

  • Collaborate across business units to deliver user training and drive adoption. 

  • Work closely with our IT Architecture teams to develop and maintain integration into downstream enterprise solutions. 

  • Ensure that Workday and its integrations are available, legally compliant, secure, and performing as expected. 

  • Supporting, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving Workday issues coming from the HR and ERP functions and wider business as a second-tier support. 

  • Delivering and supporting future implementation phases, optimization projects and enhancements. 

  • Documenting technical specifications (e.g. integrations, security, access management) and mapping of impact across the business. 

  • Enabling change by identifying, designing, sizing, developing, and deploying solutions through Workday that drive additional value for the business from the platform. 

  • Developing custom reports and calculated fields to fulfil ad hoc reports and data requests. 

  • Manage BI requirements in collaboration with the Business Teams and the Data & BI Team. 

  • Train/upskill key users across the business in the use of Workday.  

  • Documenting changes and training materials for the business in collaboration with key users. 

  • Investigate, plan, and implement all system release updates and understand the impacts. 

  • Proactively review the current configuration within Workday and provide suggestions for improvement. 

  • Conducting data cleansing and supporting system audits were required. 

  • Champions the needs of all users of our Workday platform. 

  • Participate in related IT projects and initiatives to support the HR and Accounting agendas.  

Academic & professional Qualifications 

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field.

  • Relevant professional certifications in WD will be considered as a plus.
     

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in the implementation and/or management of HCM solutions, ideally with exposure to Workday or similar platforms. Certifications or formal training in implementation methodologies and best practices are a plus.

  • Functional experience across one or more of the following domains: HCM (employee lifecycle), recruitment, onboarding, talent, performance, compensation, absence, reporting, integrations, or finance processes (ERP, GL, AP/AR). A holistic understanding of how these processes interconnect within the broader organizational ecosystem is highly valued.

  • Experience in HR data governance, best practices, and end-to-end process design, with the ability to understand and support integrated business processes.

  • Proven experience operating in a consultative capacity within HCM projects, leading requirements discovery, influencing stakeholders, and driving solution design by balancing business objectives, user needs, and system best practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and execution excellence, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working in distributed and remote environments, contributing positively to team dynamics and shared outcomes.

  • Strong business stakeholder management experience, with the ability to understand business needs, influence decisions, and align solutions with organizational goals.

Technical Skills (Desirable)

  • Functional experience in Workday ERP. 

  • Additional experience in WD Studio and/or advanced reporting. 

  • Advanced Excel Skills. 

  • API and integrations general knowledge.

  • SQL experience

  • English level: Advanced English level (mandatory)

  • Spanish level: Advanced Spanish level
