We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Workday Adaptive Planning Specialist to support and enhance our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities. This role will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of the Workday Adaptive Planning platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Accounting, Finance, budgeting, and forecasting.  Hands-on expertise in configuring and optimizing Adaptive Planning solutions, financial modeling, systems implementation, and cross-functional collaboration is required.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and configuration of Workday Adaptive Planning to meet business needs and financial planning objectives.

  • Administer and maintain the Workday Adaptive Planning system, including user access, security roles, and data integrations.

  • Configure and optimize models, sheets, dashboards, and workflows to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs.

  • Collaborate with FP&A and business units to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions.

  • Support the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and scenarios within Adaptive Planning.

  • Create and manage reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Ensure data accuracy, alignment with accounting principles, internal financial policies, and integrity across systems through validation and reconciliation processes.

  • Integrate Adaptive Planning with Workday Financials and other enterprise systems as needed.

  • Provide training, documentation and support to finance and business users on Adaptive Planning functionality.

  • Act as a liaison between finance, IT, and external vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or related field.

  • 3–5+ years of experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.

  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Adaptive Planning model building, allocation logic, scenario forecasting, sheet design, and dashboard creation.

  • Experience with data integration tools and techniques (e.g., Workday Integration Framework, EIBs, APIs).

  • Advanced Excel skills: familiarity with SQL or scripting languages is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional technical initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Certifications:

  • Workday Adaptive Planning Certification

  • CPA, CFA, or other finance-related certifications are a plus

MD Salary Range: $160-$170k. Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
