Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually
Position Summary: The Kith Women’s technical design team is looking for a Technical Designer for the knitwear, cut & sew and active part of the business to join their team. This individual must have 3-5 years of experience in apparel technical design, be knowledgeable of the brand identity, and be willing to work on site 5 days a week. They are a team player, accountable, highly organized and possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of the business in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all technical aspects of garment production to ensure high quality and functional products.
Exceptional attention to detail, especially in fit and construction precision
Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
Respond quickly to change with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new ways to work and achieve objectives.
Strong leadership within live fit sessions & other cross-functional team meetings
Clearly document fitting comments with actionable pattern amendment instruction.
Management of grading and tolerance rules.
Communicate directly with overseas suppliers to troubleshoot pattern corrections and construction related issues.
Create and maintain detailed tech packs with precise specifications and construction details.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role (including multi-product experience).
Exceptional understanding of garment construction, quality control.
Experience of working directly with manufactures.
A positive attitude towards challenges and implement solutions.
Strong time-management skills; able to prioritize tasks & be flexible.
Clear concise communication is a must both written and verbally.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet calendar deadlines.
