An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Ukraine as a BCA Wire Design and Installation Engineer, based on our office in Kyiv, Ukraine.
On this position, you will provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. You will represent the organization by providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute full-cycle wire hard-parts design and installation activities from concept through release for wire installation projects.
• Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs.
• Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
• Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
• Analyze functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.
• Develop basic statements of work.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, structures, stress, routing, manufacturing) and suppliers; adjust to a flexible schedule (overtime, shifted work schedule) to participate in technical reviews and source selection when needed.
• Readiness for business trips.
• Work under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications:•

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• 5+ years' work experience in electrical design engineering.
• Experience with interface coordination artifacts (PIDD/FIDD, coordination sheets) and production release activities.
• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, load path, standard parts, joints/fasteners.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems design philosophy.
• Working knowledge of PDM/ENOVIA/CATIA V4/V5 models and processes relevant to wire installation deliverables.
• Familiarity with production support processes (ELR, PRR, PAR, LCCM etc.) and ability to generate engineering dispositions for production issues.
• Solid communicator, intermediate level or higher in both written and verbal English.
• Existing rights to work in Ukraine.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in baseline releases, production support and customer intro activities.
• Proven experience in aircraft systems engineering.
• Experience in the role of area owner for any of aircraft sections
• Knowledge of Boeing aircraft structures.
• Basic knowledge in stress and manufacturing engineering
• Experience in FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 25 & 26) and certification processes.
