Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA), Out of Production Electrical Fleet Support organization has a great opportunity for a Wire Design and Installation Engineer (Experienced, Senior or Principal) in Seal Beach, CA.
Position Overview:
This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and reliability of the Out of Production (OoP) fleet. The OoP Electrical Design Engineering (DE) team is dedicated to providing exceptional compliance and technical support, driving initiatives such as the Continued Operational Safety Program (COSP) and addressing Safety Related Problems (SRP). As part of our commitment to operational excellence, this position may require some travel, allowing you to engage directly with our fleet and contribute to our mission of maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance. We are a team of fast-paced and eager engineers; skilled scientists and thinkers; bold innovators willing to push boundaries. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced, Senior and Principal Wire Design and Installation Engineer.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
  • Analyzes results and performs design reviews.
  • Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry).
  • Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
  • Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
  • Develops basic statements of work.
  • Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design
  • Works under general direction.

Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Seal Beach, CA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the area of Electrical equipment installation and wire routing design is desired.
  • Experience on design tools such as ENOVIA, CATIA V5, WIRS, PDM and IVT would be beneficial.

Summary Pay Range:
  • Experienced (Level 3): $120,000 - $162,000
  • Senior (Level 4): $146,000 - 198,000
  • Principal (Level 5): $177,000 - $239,000
