We are seeking a strong Windows System Admin with a blend of hands-on infrastructure engineering expertise, strong technical depth in Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, AWS, patching, basic command-line administration, and a foundational understanding of shell scripting. 

You will bring deep Windows server administration experience in On-Prem and Cloud environments, AWS or Azure, Networking.

Manage a small team to delegate tasks, and you will be engaging with client to make sure all systems and apps are working seamlessly.

What you will do:

• Onsite: performing day-to-day operational tasks to validate all systems are in a healthy state while looking for ways to continually improve this process through automation
• Manage a small team of support engineers to assign issues and follow up on resolution.
• Hands on technical expertise for issues resolution, know how to script, determine and fix the problems with incidents.
• Check availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of services by engineering reliability into software and systems
• Respond to and resolve emergent service problems, document knowledge and build automation tools to prevent problem recurrence
• Leverage Application Performance Monitoring tools to diagnose and analyze systems performance and availability issue
• Continually looking for a way to reduce the number of incidents in the environment while driving down MTTR
• Participating in an on-call rotation (may be required)
• Finding recurring issues in the environment, determining root cause, and working with cross functional teams to resolve
• Identifies and implements automation for routine tasks and to prevent outages
• Provides data and analysis to aid in the investigation of incidents, problems, and overall service quality.

Who you are

• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience supporting both Windows systems administration and Linux.
• 5-10+ years of experience leading a small team of Engineers to assign tasks.
• Experience in supporting enterprise class apps: Windows Server and AD, AWS and Azure Cloud.
• 5-10+ years of experience scripting skills in Shell, PHP, Perl, PowerShell or Python.
• Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Experience monitoring & performance with Dynatrace
• Knowledge of IP networking, network analysis, performance and application issues using standard tools like tcpdump and wireshark
• Logical problem solver, data driven, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
• Windows Directory services

• VMware ESX and VCenter technologies
• AWS or Azure Cloud certifications
• Experience managing systems in IaaS platforms
• Cisco routers and switching equipment
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP
• Comptia Linux+ or Redhat Certified Systems Administration
• Supported Citrix Xenapp/XenDeskop implementations
• Commvault data protection software or equivalent experience
• Ability to debug Terraform and CHEF code
