The Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented Windows Administrator/Engineer at Haramain Systems Inc. to manage and maintain our Windows server environments. This W2 role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about IT and possesses a strong understanding of Windows operating systems, network protocols, and virtualization technologies. You will be responsible for optimizing system performance, implementing security protocols, and ensuring reliable operation of our IT services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, applying necessary patches and updates to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Implement and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and user permissions.
- Collaborate with other teams to design and execute backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Provide technical support for server-related issues and assist users in resolving escalated support requests.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Windows server administration and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with managing storage solutions (SAN, NAS).
- Knowledge of network security best practices and tools.
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or similar credentials.
- Experience in scripting and automation frameworks beyond PowerShell, such as Ansible or Python.
