As a Vice President in the Wholesale Credit & Allowance team within the Risk Controllers organization, you will be a key member of the team that manages the external reporting of wholesale credit data and the Allowance for Credit Losses. In addition to business as usual responsibilities, we are looking for someone with a keen desire to innovate and improve processes and analytics with the technical aptitude and skills to drive innovation, all within a highly controlled financial reporting environment where accuracy is paramount.

Job Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the management of wholesale credit data and analytics, delivering critical insights to the Firmwide CFO, Firmwide Risk Executives and Investor Relations in support of quarterly earnings, senior investor meetings, and risk committee presentations.
  • Drive external financial reporting and internal management reporting of allowance for credit losses (ACL) under CECL across the Commercial & Investment Bank, Asset & Wealth Management, and wholesale businesses within Consumer & Community Banking.
  • Monitor the macroeconomic environment, identify key risk indicators, and perform sensitivity analysis on allowance inputs to assess emerging risks and inform senior management decision-making.
  • Maintain a strong governance framework for the wholesale allowance process, including documentation, controls, and audit/regulatory alignment.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and automation tools to modernize existing processes, drive efficiencies, and elevate analytical capabilities across reporting and governance workflows.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional stakeholders including Risk Management & Compliance, SEC Reporting, Accounting Policy, Financial Controllers, Firmwide P&A, Internal Audit, Product and Technology.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • At least 5 years experience in financial reporting, planning and analysis, forecasting, product control, variance analysis, governance, or audit.
  • Strong commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion.
  • Curious and innovative mindset with the courage to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion of AI and modern automation tools, with a desire to grow in a rapidly changing technology environment (e.g. Thoughtspot, Databricks, LLM etc.).

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to senior audiences and produce clear procedures and documentation.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter who works independently, takes accountability for deliverables, and collaborates effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with allowance for credit losses, CECL reporting, or credit risk reporting across wholesale businesses.
  • Experience maintaining governance frameworks, audit/regulatory documentation, and controlled process environments.
