About this role:

• We are seeking a Strategy Senior Manager to join our Group-level strategy team at WeLab, a leading pan-Asian FinTech company in high-growth mode. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, shape the strategic direction of the organization, and drive high-impact financial and business initiatives. You will be a co-pilot to setting the long-term vision and business plan, towards the stated ambition of “establishing the first leading regional digital bank, and to deliver AI-powered financial services to 500m users by 2032.” If you’re energized by a high-energy, intellectually stimulating environment and passionate about redefining financial services, this role offers a platform to leave a make a significant impact. 

 What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role:

• Spearhead critical components of WeLab’s strategic planning process, collaborating with senior leadership to develop and refine the Group’s long-term strategic roadmap
• Monitor and analyze global and regional trends, including macroeconomic conditions and financial markets  
• Identify market opportunities, develop actionable recommendations, and lead cross-functional execution to enhance existing business lines or launch innovative new ventures
• Utilize both qualitative and quantitative analyses to support corporate strategy
• Synthesize complex insights into compelling, actionable reports and presentations for the Leadership Team and Board, influencing strategic priorities and securing stakeholder alignment
• Being able to embrace the WeLab culture – respect our values including being able to foster strong partnerships across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution

What is required and what we’re looking for:

• 12+ years of experience in strategic consulting, management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy, ideally in FinTech, financial services, or technology
• Proven ability to solve complex problems, develop innovative strategies, and exercise sharp business judgment
• Self-motivated leader with a track record of designing and executing high-impact initiatives in fast-evolving settings
• Intellectual curiosity for emerging technologies and trends (e.g., AI, Web3, blockchain), and strategic implications
• Strong collaboration skills to build relationships, navigate cross-functional teams, and influence senior stakeholders
• Clear, persuasive communication skills, with spoken and written fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Ability to prioritize and deliver results in a high-energy, agile organization
