The Role
You turn strategist briefs into content that earns attention and citations across the channels where your audience and the AI models actually look. You'll write FAQs, mid-form and long-form articles, and content designed to travel across owned and unowned channels alike, all of it engineered to perform in traditional search and to be retrieved and cited by AI models. The briefs arrive fully formed, with target queries, structure, intent, and sources already mapped, so your craft goes straight into bringing them to life. You bring the SEO writing discipline, and we'll train you on the GEO methodology that defines what podium iq does.

What you'll do

  • Write FAQs, mid-form and long-form articles, and supporting content from detailed strategist briefs.

  • Create content built to perform across owned and unowned channels, from a brand's own site to the third-party places that shape how an entire category gets cited.

  • Apply SEO best practices and the GEO methodology we'll teach you, so every piece is built both to be found and to be cited.

  • Write for B2B decision-makers and practitioners, with copy that is clear, concrete, and grounded in the outcome it drives.

  • Collaborate with the digital strategist and creative team inside our Share of Model pod, and deliver on sprint timelines without trading away quality.

What you bring

  • 6+ years writing copy, with strong B2B experience as a firm requirement, since B2B is central to the account you'll support

  • A portfolio that shows range and rigour, and writing that reads naturally while still doing the SEO job it needs to do

  • Comfort working from structured briefs and keyword targets, and the discipline to turn quality work around at pace

  • Demonstrated understanding with SEO best practices and content fundamentals

  • Range across both B2B and B2C writing is a real asset to us, as is experience in technology or SaaS and any exposure to GEO or AEO writing

The details
This is a contract role open to candidates across Canada, structured as a monthly retainer. You'll report directly to our Head Advisory for Podium IQ. The contract runs on a conversion track, so as our book of enterprise work grows, full-time seats open for the people who've earned them through the quality of their output and their fit with the pace we work at.
