JOB DESCRIPTION


Summary/Objective

The Website Optimization Strategist is responsible for maximizing the performance and effectiveness of Cellular Sales' digital experience across consumer, recruiting, B2B, and local market initiatives. This role goes beyond traditional SEO. You'll own the strategy and optimization of our website experience, helping customers find us, engage with our content, take action, and ultimately connect with our brand. You'll serve as the primary expert for website performance, search visibility, analytics, conversion optimization, and digital experience, partnering with marketing, content, development, and UX teams to drive measurable business results.


Essential Functions


Own Website Strategy & Optimization

  • Develop and maintain a website optimization roadmap that aligns with business priorities and marketing objectives
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve website performance, engagement, and conversion
  • Monitor website health, mobile experience, accessibility, technical performance, and Core Web Vitals
  • Continuously evaluate and improve high-impact pages, customer journeys, and website experiences

Drive SEO & Organic Growth

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies that increase organic traffic and search visibility
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and search opportunity assessments
  • Partner with content creators to optimize content for discoverability, engagement, and conversion
  • Work closely with development partners to implement technical SEO improvements and best practices
  • Stay informed on industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging search technologies

Lead Analytics & Performance Measurement

  • Own website analytics, reporting, and measurement frameworks
  • Serve as the primary owner of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Build dashboards and performance reporting that deliver meaningful insights to stakeholders
  • Translate website data into actionable recommendations that improve customer experience and business results

Improve Conversion & Customer Experience

  • Analyze customer behavior and website journeys to identify friction points and opportunities
  • Recommend and coordinate A/B testing, experimentation, and optimization initiatives
  • Optimize pathways related to lead generation, recruiting, store engagement, and other key business objectives
  • Measure and communicate the impact of optimization efforts

Partner Across Teams

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to improve usability, navigation, and overall digital experiences
  • Translate marketing and business priorities into website requirements and enhancement requests
  • Partner with development teams to prioritize website improvements and enhancements
  • Ensure marketing campaigns direct customers to effective, optimized digital destinations and landing experiences
  • Work cross-functionally with content, recruiting, customer experience, paid media, and marketing teams to support organizational goals

    Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Required Education and Experience

    • 2-year degree
    • 5+ years of experience in website optimization, SEO, digital marketing, web analytics, UX, CRO, or related disciplines
    • Strong understanding of website performance, search optimization, and digital customer experiences
    • Experience translating data and insights into measurable business outcomes
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Experience

    • 4-year degree
    • Google Analytics (GA4)
    • Google Tag Manager
    • SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz
    • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) methodologies
    • A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
    • Content Management Systems (CMS)
    • Website analytics and reporting tools
    • Understanding of website architecture, UX, and customer journey optimization
