This position is 100% on-site in Flowood, MS. It does not have a remote or hybrid function.
We are seeking Web Systems Engineer II with excellent J2EE and WEB technical skills to join our Information Technology department. This role is responsible for full-lifecycle web application development, system integration, business process analysis, and risk mitigation to ensure uninterrupted operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintains current and develops new web applications following design standards.
- Supports team in analyzing, defining and designing program logic interfaces and databases of web software systems.
- Identifies and implements best practices to prevent technical issues that could disrupt business activities.
- Performs systems and business function analysis to ensure that web systems meet strategic business objectives.
Job-Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or related technical field.
- 2+ years experience using GitLAB or other source control tools like SVN and IBM Rational Team Concert.
- Experience implementing or utilizing CICD practices using GitLAB or other CICD tools.
Bachelor’s degree and:
- 2+ years’ experience in object-oriented programming environment.
- 5+ years of full development life cycle experience.
- 2+ years’ experience using Java, JSP, and SQL.
- 2+ years’ experience on REST/SOAP webservices or microservices.
- 2+ years’ experience on a Java based application framework like Spring, etc.
- 2+ years’ experience using HTML, JSON and XML.
- 1+ year experience with AI assisted development
OR
Master’s degree and:
- 2+ years’ experience in object-oriented programming environment.
- 2+ years of full development life cycle experience.
- 2+ years’ experience using Java, JSP, and SQL.
- 2+ years’ experience on REST/SOAP webservices or microservices.
- 2+ years’ experience on a Java based application framework like Spring, etc.
- 1+ year experience AI assisted development
- 2+ years’ experience using HTML, JSON and XML.
Preferred experience
- Experience using J2EE architecture.
- Experience using WSAD and Websphere.
- Experience with Windows NT, UNIX, and Visual Basic.
