Design Engineer

We’re hiring a Web Development Designer to fully own slash.com.

This is a design-first, AI-native builder role. You will design and make relevant updates to the website as the team sees fit.

You should be deeply comfortable moving from blank canvas → Figma → live site quickly using Cursor as your primary tool.

You will:

• Design new pages, flows, and updates

• Vibe code and ship updates using Cursor (must-have)

• Maintain and evolve the site as our product and positioning grow

• Improve clarity, performance, and polish continuously

• Execute occasional one-off graphic design needs (launch visuals, marketing assets, etc.)

You operate with full ownership. In addition to delivering on team priorities, you proactively identify improvements, introduce new ideas, and independently execute them end-to-end.

This role is fully in-person in our SF office, five days a week.

• Strong background in design with real web execution experience

• Proficiency in Figma (must-have)

• Strong experience using Cursor (must-have)

• High design taste (typography, layout, hierarchy, interaction)

• Experience owning and maintaining a live site

• Comfort working fast

• High agency and full ownership mentality

• Prior startup experience

• Experience owning a company website end-to-end

• You have strong opinions about good design (and can execute on them)

• You move quickly from idea to live page without overthinking

• You’re excited about AI-native workflows and genuinely enjoy using tools like Cursor
