We are seeking a Junior/Mid level Web Developer with a strong focus on Shopify Plus to join our Digital Product & E-commerce team at MERIT! As a pivotal member of the team, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing our online presence. You will work in tandem with both our Senior Developer and Director of Digital Product & E-commerce on continuous development and improvement of our tech stack and site experiences.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on development and maintenance of the Meritbeauty.com site
- Take design specifications to code with performance, maintainability and ADA compliance in mind
- Assist the team in researching, developing and testing new features, integrations, and technologies
- Collaborate closely with the immediate team to identify and implement technical business solutions
- Participate in code reviews and technical decision making
- Communicate with the Director of Digital Product & E-commerce, Senior Developer and other key stakeholders on the status of projects on a daily basis
- Troubleshoot bugs and site issues
Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience working at an e-commerce business on Shopify Plus or another e-commerce platform
- Strong knowledge of vanilla JavaScript and ES6 classes
- Experience with Liquid templating language
- SASS/SCSS
- Ability to transform design into pixel perfect code in an e-commerce setting
- Strong knowledge of git/github
- Working knowledge of modern build tools like npm, webpack etc.
- Experience with custom shopify apps, extensions and functions
- Comfortable consuming REST apis
- Strong creative problem solving skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, keeping momentum on each and while meeting project due dates
- Ability to write clean, readable and maintainable code
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices including CVR optimization, A/B Testing, and UX design
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with latest trends in web development and e-commerce
Preferred:
- Experience with React
- GraphQL
- Figma or similar design tools
- Experience with at least one server side language (Ruby, Node etc..)
We are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to salary compensation. The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000, in addition to bonus potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off and more. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual's experience and qualifications.
