Position Summary:
As the E-commerce Web Designer / Developer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of design, code development, and maintenance across Perry Ellis International’s diverse portfolio of brand E-commerce websites. You will be critical in ensuring high-quality site performance, effective digital marketing delivery, and seamless integration of new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Code & Design: Perform web design, code, test, and maintain all E-commerce website content using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Email Marketing Execution: Design, code, test, and deploy all marketing E-mails and manage E-commerce email marketing campaigns in Klaviyo.
- Promotions Management: Setup, test, and deploy all E-commerce website promotions, source codes, and coupon codes, including rigorous QA.
- Content Management: Upload and manage product photography. Design and deliver E-commerce affiliate program content, remarketing program content, and Multivariate testing campaigns.
- Technical Support: Provide technical operations support to Merchandising, Marketing, and Customer Service teams.
- Integration & QA: Support the implementation of 3rd-party E-commerce technologies, conduct regular site audits, and QA the different brand sites.
- Special Projects: Work on new projects and initiatives, and support social media and brand marketing team special projects as needed.
- 4+ years of experience in the various web design and E-commerce technologies listed.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and jQuery.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Visual Studio Code, and Illustrator.
- Experience with E-commerce sites and platforms (Shopify experience is a plus).
- Digital Marketing Focus: Experience with E-mail marketing, list management, segmentation, and Social Media integrations (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, & YouTube).
- Knowledge of Google Analytics.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Effective Communication: Ability to effectively communicate technical and project ideas between both technical and non-technical people.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for accurate coding, rigorous QA, and promotional setup.
- Strong Business Acumen: Good foundational business acumen with an ability to leverage data (e.g., Google Analytics knowledge) for E-commerce success.
