We are seeking a skilled Web Application Developer to design and build dynamic web applications in support of Information Technology (IT) projects. In this role, you will leverage modern web-based technologies to enhance user experiences, improve system functionality, and align web applications with organizational goals. You will also play a key role in solving emerging national security challenges by developing secure, scalable, and resilient web solutions that support critical operations. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop websites and web applications using a variety of graphics software, development tools, and programming techniques.
Create and enhance user interface (UI) features, site animations, and special effects elements to improve engagement.
Collaborate with the design team to refine the look and feel of the organization’s online presence.
Develop and implement web solutions that support the organization’s communication strategies and goals.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and adherence to accessibility standards.
Maintain and update existing web applications, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as needed.
Stay up to date with emerging web technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Strong understanding of web-based technologies and web development frameworks.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end libraries such as React or Angular.
Experience with design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or other relevant applications.
Knowledge of back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP) and database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) is a plus.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Location & Travel Details:
Must be local to the Washington, DC area as on-site work will be required.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Active/Current Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI and polygraph eligible holders are highly encouraged to apply.
