Overview:
ISS STOXX is expanding, and our global Weapons Research team is looking for a talented analyst to join our Manila-based team. The Weapons Research team is focused on researching corporate involvement in a wide range of defense and military-related activities for ISS STOXX’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) research and investment products. Key Responsibilities:

Engaged Learning: Participate actively in our comprehensive and interactive training program designed to support your development as a successful Weapons Research Analyst.

In-Depth Research: Conduct thorough research on companies and their business activities, both independently and in collaboration with our experienced global Weapons Research team.

Analytical Writing: Produce detailed analyses of companies' business activities based on established research methodologies, resulting in reports that vary in length and detail.

Team Collaboration: Contribute to local and global team processes aimed at enhancing our ESG product offerings. This may include supporting research methodology development, quality assurance, and IT platform development.
Qualifications:

Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree, preferably in political science, international relations, or strategic/military/peace and conflict studies.

Relevant Experience: 2-4 years of relevant ESG research experience or specific education. Experience related to researching issues in the defense industry and arms control is preferred.

Research Skills: Proven experience in conducting research, preferably with a focus on corporate activities.

Writing Proficiency: Excellent English writing skills, with the ability to produce concise and conclusive analyses.

Interest in ESG: A broad interest in the business and financial world, as well as in ESG, responsible investment, and sustainability.

Methodical Approach: A methodical and thorough approach to work, with keen attention to detail.

Time Management: Ability to manage tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, with a proactive attitude and the desire to show initiative.
