As a part of Investment Solutions, the Managed Product Group serves as subject matter experts and is responsible for product management of traditional investments, including Mutual Funds, Exchanged Traded Funds (ETFs), and Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) offered through the Private Bank, Chase Wealth Management, and J.P. Morgan Advisors investment platforms. These platforms offer a diverse suite of fee-based solutions, including single- and multi-asset class portfolios, as well as brokerage offerings. Globally, there are over $1.3 trillion in assets under management with continuous growth anticipated.
Our team cultivates and manages relationships with some of the largest investment managers across the globe, as well as many boutique asset managers, to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our clients. We partner with internal and external colleagues to bring new products to market and contribute to the innovation of JPM’s offerings as well as the evolution of the industry.
Job Responsibilities:
A focus of this role will be managing the pipeline and delivery of new investment products to the US Private Bank, Chase Wealth Management, and J.P. Morgan Advisors platforms, including negotiating with investment managers to secure access and competitive terms for new investment solutions. It will also involve leadership in key strategic initiatives that drive innovation and increased efficiency across our global business. This candidate will offer subject matter expertise to internal business partners related to traditional managed investment solutions (including Mutual Funds, ETFs, and SMAs), as well as the evolving industry and regulatory landscape. The role will require close interaction with our internal partners across Manager Solutions, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Bankers, and Investors. Externally, the role will entail depth and breadth of engagement with numerous partners across the asset management industry.
- Manage the process for making new investment products available across multiple US platforms, including negotiating commercial terms and partnering with Legal to review and execute agreements with investment managers. Oversee a pipeline of over 100 solutions in varying stages of development.
- Lead strategic initiatives and coordinate projects that contribute to the development of our investment program offerings and capabilities, in line with the firm’s vision, regulatory changes, and the evolving industry landscape.
- Represent investment capabilities and structures in order to serve as a subject matter expert for traditional managed investment solutions.
- Educate and advise on product-specific information including availability, commercial terms, and competitive insight.
- Establish and foster relationships with third party investment managers and relevant counterparties.
- Drive control-related responsibilities in order to comply with regulatory standards and firm requirements, including partnering with internal corporate partners to advise on investment product disclosures.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in wealth management or other similar financial services experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), diligent multi-tasking abilities, high-level of structure and organization, and attention to detail are essential
- Demonstrated ability to make interpersonal connections, foster relationships, and effectively partner with all levels of an organization, from senior management to process participants
- Ability to assess risks, foresee implications, challenge the status quo, and ask thought-provoking questions
- Propensity to motivate business partners to build consensus, influence outcomes, and drive initiatives to completion
- Knowledge of Mutual Funds, ETFs, and SMAs, as well as product management / development experience is a plus
- Experience working with legal agreements is a plus
- Proficiency with core MS Office applications (e.g. Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of programming language tool (e.g. Python) and/or AI LLM models is an advantage
- SIE, Series 7, and 63 licenses
