The Product Manager for Microwave Radios is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of Nokia's microwave radio portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, technological trends, and customer needs to ensure Nokia maintains a competitive edge and drives business growth in the microwave transmission domain.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Definition:
Define and articulate a compelling product vision and strategic roadmap for the microwave radio portfolio, aligning with Nokia's overall business objectives and market leadership aspirations.
Conduct in-depth market analysis, customer segmentation, and technology trend assessment to identify new opportunities and guide the evolution of product features, capabilities, and solutions.
Ensure the microwave radio portfolio remains highly competitive, addressing emerging customer requirements and anticipating future technological shifts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution:
- Lead and facilitate close collaboration with R&D, engineering, and design teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and ensure timely, high-quality product development and delivery.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and regional business units to develop effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and compelling value propositions that drive market adoption and revenue growth.
Work with operations, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure seamless product introduction, manufacturing, and support processes.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation and conception through development, launch, in-life optimization, and eventual end-of-life (EOL) planning.
Oversee product performance, customer satisfaction, and market feedback to drive continuous improvement and strategic adjustments throughout the product's lifespan.
Cost & Profitability Management:
Drive a relentless focus on achieving the lowest possible end-to-end cost across the product value chain, from design and manufacturing to deployment and support.
- Develop and manage the product catalogue, pricing strategies, and commercial models to maximize profitability and market share.
Monitor and analyze product profitability, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
Strategic Customer Engagement & Sales Enablement:
- Provide expert-level worldwide sales support for strategic customers, actively participating in high-value RFPs, customer presentations, and technical discussions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their evolving needs and influencing their technology adoption decisions.
Lead and participate in strategic customer meetings, acting as a primary advocate for the microwave radio portfolio and gathering critical insights for future product development.
Competitive Intelligence & Market Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis, monitoring competitor offerings, strategies, and market performance to identify threats and opportunities.
Leverage market intelligence to inform product differentiation, pricing strategies, and strategic responses to competitive pressures.
You have previous experience in telecommunications; particularly in radio access or transport domains, preferably
